Our story begins on the corner of 13th Street and Third Avenue in New York City where my wife Julie and I first met. 13th & Third is a boutique winery crafting small batches of Rhône varietal wines. Our goal is to make well balanced, food friendly wines. We exclusively select specific blocks from ultra-premium vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles from sites with some of the highest elevations and steepest slopes in the region. To showcase each vintage, and the vineyards’ higher elevations, warm summer days, and cool ocean breeze filled nights, we hand-farm our blocks keeping yields low, picking at perfect ripeness without sacrificing acidity, and maintaining a minimalist approach in the cellar.
