Amapola Creek Vineyards, a small artisanal winery focused on Rhône varietals, is located on Moon Mountain above Sonoma Valley. In 2020, Amapola Creek entered an exciting new chapter with its acquisition by Brion Wise of B. Wise Vineyards. With a shared vision for elevating wine production to new heights, Wise brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the Amapola Creek brand. His dedication to improving vineyard practices, farming techniques, and winemaking processes underscores Amapola Creek’s commitment to producing wines of unparalleled quality. Originally founded by the renowned winemaster Richard Arrowood in 2000, Amapola Creek Vineyards consists of 100 acres along the sun-washed western slope of the Mayacamas Mountains adjacent to the highly acclaimed Monte Rosso Vineyard. These red, iron-oxide soils have yielded superb wines for over a hundred years.
